Internet Marketing

Internet marketing refers to advertising and marketing activities that use the Internet and email to direct sales via e-commerce, in addition to potential sales from websites or emails. Internet marketing and online advertising activities are usually used in conjunction with traditional types of advertising, such as radio, television, newspapers, and magazines.

Or it can be simply understood as the process of promoting a company or brand and its products or services on the Internet using tools that help increase traffic, the number of potential customers and sales.

Internet marketing is a fairly broad term covering a range of marketing tactics and strategies – including content, emails, searches, paid media and more.

Currently, Internet marketing is often used interchangeably with “content marketing”.

Because content marketing is the internet marketing of the present and future.

The Content Marketing Institute has defined content marketing, as mentioned below:

“A strategic approach in marketing focused on creating and distributing valuable, relevant and consistent content to attract and retain the targeted readers – and ultimately, to stimulate profitable customer activities.”

Specialized areas of internet marketing

Internet marketing can also be divided into more specialized fields, such as internet marketing, email marketing, and social media marketing:

Internet marketing includes e-commerce websites, affiliate marketing websites, promotional or informational websites, online search engine advertising, and free search engine results through search engine optimization (SEO).

Email marketing includes both advertising and promotional marketing activities via email addressed to current and potential customers.

Social media marketing means advertising and marketing on social media (including viral marketing) through social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Digg.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is about optimizing landing pages on your site to increase the number of visitors.

Benefits of Internet Marketing

  1. Convenience and quick service

The amazing convenience of online marketing is one of the most significant advantages of internet marketing. The Internet has extremely easy access to customers using the Internet and reaching markets anywhere in the world. For this reason, buying goods abroad now reduces transport costs.

For importers, this is a massive advantage because it means that they can order online from the comfort of their own home. Also, you can easily track online sales items that go to delivery and get real-time location data. You can download digital products(software) from the Internet with a single mouse click. Internet marketing is great for business because it provides consumers with better and more comfortable shopping.

  1. Low operating cost

One of the main advantages of internet marketing for companies in the low operating cost. You can advertise cheaper with online marketing than with traditional advertising methods such as newspapers, television, and radio ads. In online marketing, you can quickly get a free listing in a wide range of business directories.

Also, the Internet allows you to contact your customers more often compared to the traditional way of communicating them. Online communication is cheaper than that of conventional communication methods, such as mail and brochures. For example, you can easily send the same information in an email to many people at once instead of a letter, saving on printing, paper, and shipping.

  1. Analyze and track the reports

An important feature of internet marketing that is rarely available in traditional marketing is the ability to measure and track results. Thanks to online marketing, your company can use various tools to track the results of advertising campaigns. With these tools, you can not only measure and track, but also illustrate the progress of your marketing campaign in detailed graphics.

Measuring and tracking results gives your company a better picture of how your marketing campaign is doing. It gives you an overview of how you can better increase traffic, leads, sales, and conversions. Without the ability to measure and track results, you can’t change or modify your marketing campaign to better deliver the results you want.

  1. Demographic targeting

Online marketing of products and services makes it possible to reach recipients based on demographic data. This enables us to focus your efforts on customers who want to offer their and products. With demographic targeting, you can better manage your marketing efforts to specific demographic regions, and it will result in better results.

Demographic targeting enables you to target specific customers who you think can buy your product or rent services. Every time someone visits your website and completes the form, it gives you an idea of who your customers are, and lets you discover important details about them, such as age and interests that better shape your services according to their needs.

  1. Global marketing

The possibility of global marketing of your products and services is one of the most significant advantages of global marketing for business. In a few months of aggressive SEO, you can secure millions of viewers and reach a massive audience from around the world.

Thanks to internet marketing, you can easily reach beyond geographical coverage to offer your products or services to customers around the world. Wherever your target audience is, you can easily reach them 24/7 and from any country around the world. If

your audience consists not only of the local market, taking advantage of global marketing offers a great advantage.

  1. Multitasking capability

One of the basic advantages of internet marketing is its ability to serve millions of customers simultaneously. As long as the site’s infrastructure is efficient, many transactions can easily be carried out parallel.

However, even with a large number of operations, your website can provide satisfactory service to any customer who purchases online without the risk of diminished satisfaction. This high flexibility of internet marketing is an important benefits companies can use to provide their customers with the best shopping experience.

Over 3.5 billion searches are answered every day at Google, a company with over 85% market share in the search engine for computers.

Google is widespread, and marketers who want to achieve excellent results in organic search results need to know which factors Google is taking into account when ranking content.

With so much effort that we put into optimizing content for search engines, one would think that until now we would know precisely the Google ranking algorithm when indexing pages on the internet. But we can’t because Google has never publicly mentioned all the factors, it takes into account when ranking content.

There are 200 known factors in Google ranking. Some of the most important factors are URL, inbound links, meta tags, keyword intentions, content structure, page load speed and numerous technical SEO specifications that vary depending on the topic.

Google has confirmed that it uses around 200 ranking signals to determine its position in organic search results. There are domain-related factors, on-site factors, off-page factors, site-level factors, and numerous technical SEO factors that affect where your website is on Google search results pages (SERPs) for various keywords related to your industry.

However, the question arises: does each ranking factor have the same meaning? No. Although all of these criteria relate to where you finish ranking on Google, there are several factors you should focus on before they solve the rest.

To help you prioritize SEO over the next year, we’ve identified the eight most essential ranking factors for you.

  1. Website architecture

It is not the main factor, but still, it plays a significant role in the ranking process, but the architecture of your site is the first thing you should get in advance – especially when you start (or restart) your website.

By organizing your site in sub-directories and having bright text strings (or “slugs”) at the end of each URL, you’ll greatly help Google understand who you are and what topics you want to be an authority on.

  1. Domain security

Note “https” at the beginning of the sample URL above? In this way, Google identifies secure websites from insecure ones. Tip: You want your site to be protected.

HTTP stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol – a virtual process that transfers information from a website to a user’s browser. HTTPS is a secure version of this protocol and assures Google that the information it indexes is safe for the search engine. “S”, as you probably guessed, means “safe.” You need an SSL certificate to secure your website domain.

  1. Inbound links

Inbound links, also known as “backlinks”, are all hyperlinks that lead back to your site from anywhere on the Internet. They can have a significant difference in the place where you occupy your place – even on the page where you are.

Why are these links relevant to your Google ranking? You don’t rely on these command sources for all traffic, so why does Google care who leads to you? Inbound links from other websites inform Google that people trust what you have to say – just link to them from their websites. Trust is enormous in the eyes of Google, and the more reliable the source to which the link leads, the higher the impact of their link on your ranking.

Inbound links don’t work the same way if you connect to your blog post from another post. The impact of these backlinks comes almost exclusively from external domains.

For this reason, “building links” has become a necessary (but delicate) process of obtaining backlinks from other publishers. Some publishers who have the same perceived authority agree to exchange reciprocal links. Others write guest posts on this publisher’s site and refer to each other.

  1. Authority of the topic

Topics are the daily bread in the Google ranking – they help lay the foundation for the authority of the page you need to get a high ranking in the long run.

In the purest form, topics mean the more content you publish on a given topic, the higher each content item belonging to that topic in the Google SERP ranking.

Do you remember our example of gardening from the first ranking factor above? Suppose there are 20 articles about garden pests on this page. To date, Google knows that this website is probably the authority in the field of pest prevention. The site, therefore, has a much better chance of ranking high on the blog about plant-friendly pesticides than the article on, say, Google ranking factors – even if this article is optimized for keywords and exceptionally well written.

  1. Keyword Selection

Topics may be more critical in the long run than individual keywords, but that doesn’t mean that keywords are still not a ranking factor. Keyword optimization is one of the most critical factors that can be included in your website’s SEO strategy.

The earliest iteration of Google searched for most instances of the keyword, expressed literally, on a webpage or blog. This was known as “exact match.”

Today, “exact match” means something completely different, and the site that has the most occurrences of the keyword does not have the highest position for that keyword. Instead, it is the website that best matches the goals of the keyword.

Let’s consider our example of gardening from the first ranking factor on this list again. If this site wants to get the rank of the keyword ‘best organic pesticides’, it will not position itself well only by including three words in the phrase several times throughout the article. Instead, it should contain the keyword at least once, followed by real examples of organic pesticides, their ingredients where they can be bought, why they are so highly rated, and maybe even what makes these pesticides natural.

Because the readers will take a quick look at it, the websites that give it to them will be more engaged by site visitors. Then Google interprets this increased engagement as a right answer to the visitor’s question, resulting in a higher URL rank.

  1. Content structure

It is not enough to provide website visitors with the information they are looking for. As more and more websites give visitors the right answers, the way they are structured becomes an important deciding factor when ranking content under more competitive keywords.

Proper content formatting demands a variety of headers and subtitles to help the user learn and understand the answer. It can also contain bulleted points, numbered lists, support images, and cited research – all this helps keep readers engaged in your content.

The more the reader is involved in the content, the longer it will stay on your site – increasing the so-called “session duration”, another important factor of Google ranking that arises from the creation of good content.
